Global Jaap
Privacy Policy

Global Jaap is a devotional Android app for chanting Jai Shri Ram, Jai Hanuman, Om Namah Shivay, and Hare Krishna while seeing live global chant counts and recent city-level chant activity from other users.
Information We Collect
Global Jaap does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise GPS location, or payment information. The app and third-party advertising or analytics services may process your IP address, advertising ID, device/app information, and approximate city/country as described below.
When you use the app, Global Jaap may collect limited app-functionality data:
- Approximate city and country derived from IP-based location detection. Your IP address may be processed to provide this approximate location and to operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Chant activity, such as which mantra was tapped and the updated count.
- A temporary client event ID used to prevent duplicate chant submissions.
- Local contribution counts and app preferences stored on your device.
- App activity and diagnostic analytics, such as screen views, feature taps, share actions, chant playback actions, approximate city/country, app version, device type, and basic performance or diagnostic information collected through Firebase Analytics.
- Advertising-related data, such as advertising ID, IP address, device/app information, ad interactions, and approximate location, may be processed by Appodeal, AdMob, and advertising partners for ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention, frequency capping, and compliance.
Location
Global Jaap does not request GPS permission and does not collect or share precise physical location. The app uses city-level IP-based location so your chant can appear as part of live global city activity, such as "London, United Kingdom".
Chant Activity and Live Counts
When you chant in the app, the selected mantra, approximate city/country, and chant count may be sent to the Global Jaap backend. This powers the live global counts, recent city activity, and expanded chant statistics shown inside the app.
Because the app is devotional, a selected mantra may be interpreted as religious or spiritual activity. We use this information only to provide the Global Jaap chanting experience and live count functionality.
Advertising and Third-Party Services
Global Jaap uses Appodeal to serve and mediate ads, including through advertising partners such as Google AdMob. Appodeal and its partners may collect or process information such as IP address, advertising ID, device identifiers, device/app information, approximate location, ad impressions, ad clicks, and related diagnostics to deliver ads, measure performance, prevent fraud, limit ad frequency, and comply with legal requirements.
Appodeal processes data according to its own privacy policy: https://www.appodeal.com/privacy-policy. Google services, including AdMob and Firebase, may also process data according to Google's privacy practices.
Analytics
Global Jaap uses Firebase Analytics, a Google service, to understand app activity and improve the experience. Firebase Analytics may receive app interaction events such as screen views, mantra selection, chant start/pause actions, share usage, live activity browsing, approximate city and country, device/app information, and diagnostic signals. We do not use Firebase Analytics to create user accounts or identify you by name, email address, phone number, or precise GPS location.
Firebase Analytics data is used to measure app engagement, understand which features are working, diagnose issues, and improve Global Jaap. Google may process this data according to its own privacy and security practices.
Audio and App Content
Global Jaap includes devotional audio and visual assets inside the app package. Mantra audio is intended to play only while the app is running and pauses when the app is no longer in focus.
The app may include links to Guru Chants pages or third-party platforms such as Spotify, YouTube Music, YouTube, or the Guru Chants website. If you open those links, your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies.
Permissions
Global Jaap may request permissions needed for app functionality, such as internet access for live counts, city activity, ads, analytics, and vibration for haptic feedback. Advertising and analytics SDKs may add permissions or services needed for network state, ad measurement, install attribution, and diagnostics. The app does not request precise location permission, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or foreground service permissions.
Children
Global Jaap is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Health and Wellness
Global Jaap may include devotional, relaxation, meditation, or spiritual listening experiences. The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, mental health services, or clinical decision support.
Data Sharing
Global Jaap does not sell personal data. The app shares limited city-level chant activity with the Global Jaap backend so the app can display live global counts and recent city activity. Recent city activity may be visible to other users in the app, but precise physical location and account identity are not displayed because the app does not collect them. Global Jaap uses Firebase Analytics for app activity and diagnostic analytics, and Appodeal/AdMob and advertising partners for ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention, frequency capping, attribution, and compliance.
Data Retention
Global Jaap does not operate user accounts and does not maintain a server-side user profile database for the app.
Aggregate mantra counts are retained indefinitely because they are not tied to a user account. Recent city-level chant events are retained for up to 30 days and then automatically deleted. Temporary client event IDs used for duplicate protection are retained for up to 7 days and then automatically deleted.
Local contribution counts and app preferences remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app storage, uninstall the app, or replace/reset your device. Firebase Analytics data is retained according to Firebase and Google Analytics retention settings configured for the Firebase project. Advertising data processed by Appodeal, AdMob, and other ad partners is retained according to those providers' policies and settings.
If you contact us by email for support, we may retain that email conversation for as long as needed to respond to your request, keep reasonable business records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We delete support emails when they are no longer needed for those purposes.
Data Deletion
You can delete locally stored Global Jaap app data at any time by using your device settings to clear the app's storage/data, or by uninstalling the app. On most Android devices this is available under Settings > Apps > Global Jaap > Storage > Clear storage or Clear data.
Recent city-level chant activity is automatically deleted from the Global Jaap backend within 30 days. Temporary client event IDs are automatically deleted within 7 days. Aggregate mantra counts are not linked to an account and are retained as global devotional totals. You can also reset local app analytics state from your device by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app, and you may contact us for help with data deletion requests. For advertising-related data, you can reset or delete your device advertising ID using your Android privacy settings where available.
If you have contacted us by email and want us to delete your support correspondence, email appsagestudio@gmail.com with the subject line "Data deletion request". We will review and respond to deletion requests within a reasonable time, unless retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate business reasons.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page.
